Anveshika

 

Anveshika is an IAPT initiative to create centers across India in schools and Colleges where students and teachers can learn experiment-based physics and try out their own ideas. Started in 2001 at Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter college, Kanpur in 2001, the project has been expanded and in January 2013, 16 Anveshikas are running in the country under National Anveshika Network of India called NANI.

 

The Anveshikas regularly organize interaction sessions with students, short and long term Teachers training programmes, develop new teaching demos and other activities as found appropriate with the IAPT objective to make Physics teaching more effective and learner centric.

 

While most of the Anveshikas work at middle, high and plus2 levels, some of these are equipped to handle undergraduate level physics experiments.

 

Functioning of Anveshikas:

 

While Each Anveshika plans its own programmes, they share the same vision and basic methodology. All the Anveshikas are coordinated under NANI(National Anveshika Network on India). The main decisions are taken by a steering committee consisting of President, Secreatary and Treasurer of IAPT, NANI Coordinator and an academician opted by them.
